Bids for Olympic Park Project Sought
3rd Apr 2008

The Olympic Delivery Agency is seeking bids for the last of the permanent Olympic Park construction projects, as the contract goes to tender.

The Olympic Delivery Agency has released the contract for the construction of a handball arena and is inviting contractors to bid for the project.

The arena is one of the last permanent projects for the 2012 games to be put to tender.

The ODA is planning to appoint a design and build contractor early next year to begin work in the summer.

The arena has been designed by Make Architects with PTW and Ove Arup and Partners and will be the venue for handball during the Olympics and goalball during the Paralympic Games.

It will be used as a multi purpose sporting venue thereafter.
