| SPOTLIGHT ON A MAJOR PROJECT:
Bremore Ireland Port (€300 million , 2002-2013)
In 2002, the Drogheda Port Company began the development on a deepwater port, logistics centre and business park away from the existing congested hub of Dublin city.
A full international design team was appointed in 2006 to complete the operational port design and planning application. Terminal operator Hutchison Westports Limited joined the team to develop and operate the Terminal Master Plan.
In January 2008 the Drogheda Port Company and Castle Market Holdings Ltd. entered a joint venture partnership called Bremore Ireland Port Ltd. to further develop the project. |
